hi! i'm dotbrew(he/him). i used to go by akidinatophat (and still do in a few places).
i'm a ?? y/o college student from florida currently pursuing a career in IT/cybersecurity. in my free time,
i like doing anything related to obsolete tech, phone phreaking, networking, analog equipment, and much more.
i've been at this sort of thing for a while, but i've ran a website and dabbled with code since 2015.
i wouldn't say i'm the best at it, but i think i'm okay.

what's new
09/25/26 - 6.1 is finally out
hey people! i finally decided to stop neglecting this and release 6.1. it is still very scuffed (especially the mobile layout), but i'd rather
have this up instead of some blank page like it's been recently. i don't know if
i'll ever actually get the motivation to work on this for much longer though.
so, what's new exactly?
- revamp of about window
implemented sections for organization and general cleanliness. no iframes or other bullshit here, these are modular divs with a height variable that allows automatically resizing the window. now isn't that something?
- new mobile layout
inspired by jpegmafia.net, the website changes to a completely different smartphone home-screen style layout
on mobile devices. i took the exact same approach as jpeg's website, using css to check the screen width.
- improved music player
i started using a different library for parsing metadata from audio files (though i think its vibecoded, but
oh well), which now allows for displaying cover art. there's also that little volume icon on the taskbar
which toggles autoplaying the site music. you can thank my friend jaryn for requesting that.
- other miscellaneous bugfixes and patches
on 6.0 there were a few scaling issues which most have been fixed. also fixed the desktop icon layout and
double-click functionality.
anyway all i have to really say is i'm proud of how this turned out for once, i used to hate how my website looked (especially the version before this, v5, i felt like it was a major downgrade) and i used to hate working on it.
now i hate working on it a little less. :)
